Summer 09 Pictures

Howdy,
I hope you all had a great summer. Ours was busy, fun, and HOT (record heat wave in the Northwest this summer), and as always the enjoyment was in watching Molly and Lucy muck about and figure out the world. Molly's sense of humor has become downright subversive, and its clear she's too smart for me. Lucy is becoming a teenager (okay she's only five, but she's going on fifteen) and is already planning her wedding, which will feature mostly a beautiful dress and her performing a dance or two. (No boy yet, but she can't be bothered with unimportant details like that.)
We played a couple of weeks on San Juan Island, had a camping trip on Jones Island, visited the Nelson Lake House (which Lucy still won't forgive me for dragging her home from), spent nearly a month at our cabin at Glacier near Mt Baker, and goofed around our own lovely city of Seattle. We finished up the summer with a trip to Camp Orkila, dad's old stomping grounds, and (as I hoped) Lucy and Molly fell in love with place. On the drive home, Molly started crying and said she "missed Satellite cabin." I know just how she feels.
Lucy starts Kindergarten next week.... Lordy.
