Happy Holidays!
This month Lucy attended parties, learned to "fly," and rode her new tricycle in the San Juan Islands. We got hit with a monster storm (winds over 70-80 mph) and lost power for five days, so Lucy learned about headlamps, batteries and power lines. Lucy's grandmommy stayed with us on Christmas Eve and morning. Because Lucy had to play with every toy and read every book as they were freed from their wrappings, it took a marathon-like three hours to empty the gifts from under the tree. Lucy's biggest milestone of recent months was moving into her new room and beginning to sleep in her big-girl bed. She had no problem with the transition: she was ready.
